Recently got the coupe and I'm wanting to get a list of performace upgrades recommended for the car. Then I can start checking off the list and soon ill have the hell on wheels I'm looking for. Hopefully this makes sence to someone. I'm new to tuning and just need someone to point me in the right direction.

Welcome. In addition to what WheelBroker said, I'd also recommend going through the website for Honda Tuning magazine. Good way to see what others have done to their rides and they have a lot of good how-to guides as well. I know of at least one article of an Accord V6 running twin turbos.

 

The first thing you are going to want to do is swap to a manual transmission because the stock automatic cant even handle the stock horsepower.

The Honda automatic transmission of that vintage is known to be rather fragile and routinely fails when dealing with the power from unmodified engines, even when subject to what can be called "normal" grocery-getter/soccer-mom duties. Increase the power of the engine to any significant degree and kiss the tranny goodbye.
