Default 300 Z Guy new to Honda

I just inherited a nice 1996 Accord, EX, V6, Auto with 155k. I'm not real confident with the tranny; feels kinda jerky and was 3/4 of a quart low on ATF. I filled it and it seems a little better now.The oil was pitch black and water thin. PCV valve so dirty you could grow potatoes on it. Other than that, it is one increadable car. I'm sure my 86 naNissan 300z could not touch it low end or top. I look forward to picking all of your minds as I get this car road ready. If you need help with Z'S; I know a little...Will post pictures soon.

congrats on the vehicle! it sounds like it wasn't taken care of real well so I'd make sure and check your timing belt to see if it's ever been replaced.... those older nissan/datsun's have always been one of my favorite vehicles too so it's cool to meet someone who still runs one... have you done much work to it?

One of my favorite former cars was a '72 Datsun 510.It had196k miles when I sold it. Took me awhile to get used to ignition switches over on the other side of the column...

Oh, My Lord!! I used to drive my Dad's Datsan 510 Station Wagon. That was one worthy battle tank and I actually slid down the dirt side of a bridge one night, hit a cable manually pushed the weapon into position and drove on.... This wagon had a hatch back and we had a bottle rocket launching system and used it quite often... Good days....I'm much more evolved now and drive an 86 300 z ... No bridges though...
