Default 5th Gen Wagon - Southeastern Vermont/ River Valley

Hi friends!
Brand new to the forum, fairly new to my Accord, Lover of Hondas.
Bought my '97 Wagon this summer. Project/daily driver. Ok condition. Just your average 20 yo wagon. 260,XXX mi.

So far-
-Replaced air box/ air cleaner box (missing)
-New plugs, wires, valve cover gaskets, sway bar links
-bypassed the super noisy air compressor until I get a chance to diagnose and repair it

Needs-
-there's an oil leak in or around the distributor
-rear trailing arms/control arms bushings are shot
-the upper coolant hose recently started leaking. someone glued the thing back on there instead of putting the hose back on right.
-Doing the brake service soon
-The front brackets that hold the bumper on have all but fallen off and need to be re-welded
-Some minor rust patches and one hole need to be patched on the body. problem areas are rear wheel well, right -after the rear door.
-Alignment, hopefully. the thing pulls just so gently to the left

Looking for any buds in the area.
Thanks for reading

Welcome to HAF.

Sorry, too cold up there so I'm way south of you

Easy try on the oil leak near the dist, the o-ring that goes around the dist shaft where it goes into the head gets old and hard over time and will leak. Fairly simple job, remove the cap - leave the wires on it - and note where thee dist rotor is pointing. Remove dist, replace the rock hard o-ring and re-install everything - make sure the dist rotor is in the same position......while you have it off, check that heater hose right under the dist - if oil has been dripping on it it can get soft/oil soaked.

Good luck and enjoy the ride

Hello, Sylvan

Welcome to the forum.
One wish I have of Honda is that they bring back the wagon on an Accord chassis, enjoy yours
