I seem to be having some difficulty replacing the timing belt because it's too tight and I can't just slip it onto the camshaft pully as I normally would. Normally there's a little play in the timing belt where you would move the tension pully down a bit so you can slip on the timing belt. I shouldn't have to manipulate the belt on by force. before anyone asks, Tensioner is all the way down.
yes the tension pully is in fact mounted correctly. The issue is that the belt doesn't last long (about a hundred miles) before it snaps because it's too tight. Is anyone familiar with this?
