New to the forum obviously. I just recently purchased a 2002 Accord LX with a 4 cyclinder and automatic transmission and about 52,000 miles. This is my first japanese vehicle and so far I love it. I am just curious as to what the common problems are. I heard through the grapevine to watch for the timing chain or belt. Any other things that I need to closely watch?

hey welcome to the board. yea the timing belt is just something you have to replace at a certain mileage, it may be recommended to change yours at 60 or 90k miles, if the timing belt were to break, it is very likely that serious engine damage would occur. other than that, everything else on the car has an indefinate life span.
