Default Accord HFP questions

I found this gorgeous 2017 Accord Touring with HFP package at a Dodge dealership today, and they are selling it for the same price that standard Accord Tourings sell for. Should they be asking more for it due to the HFP package? I’m thinking they simply don’t realize that it has this rare $5000 option package, and that I might be able to scoop it up for a steal price. Would it be wrong of me to try to get the salesman down a couple thousand dollars if their price is already too low?

Am I crazy, or is it possible that the HFP suspension somehow gives the car a more comfortable ride than standard suspension? I had ruled out the HFP, assuming it would have a rougher ride, but I drove it, as well as a standard Touring, and an EX-L, and I could swear the HFP had the most comfortable ride of the three, and that just doesn’t make sense to me.

One last question. Should I get an extended warranty? Consumer Reports rates these things as having amazing reliability except for the electrical systems, which I’ve learned are known for being unreliable. It seems to me I should get a warranty in case I have to replace the head unit or instrument cluster or computer, or anything else. Any opinions?

There's nothing wrong with getting it as cheap as you can. The dealership would definitely sale it for the most they can. You can use what you saved for the extended warranty.

I always get an extended warranty as long as it is a bumper to bumper warranty so try to get a Honda extended warranty. You never know what might happen to the cars these days since everything is electrical. It's just a peace of mind. I always say as long as I use what I put in the warranty it was worth it.
