if you don't want the fart can sound. Get a flowmaster 40 series. It was made for imports. Has a really nice deep tone.
Also kristech it's vtec not vtech :P just keep that in mind cus you will get bashed by honda ppl for that little mistake (trust me it will happen)
As for vtec Im gonna school ya'll since you guys are fairly new to hondas.
Not sure if you guys know how vtec works but you guys have a sohc cam shaft. So you have low/mid range vtec. Not high end vtec like b16/b18/h22/f20b ect.
your vtec kicks in at a low rpm so that you get more low end tq. along with better gas mileage. The dohc vtec is the screamer and make all the high end power. When SOCH vtec enguages only one of you intake valves pre cyl open all the way. As the other only opens part way. To create the "swirl" effect for more efficient fuel burring. Then DOHC when vtec engages both sets of intake and exhaust vales open all the way to cram more fuel and air in and also to exhaust it faster at higher rpms.

I wouldn't even bother with a tune.. that'd be a joke IMO on a car that's almost all stock
LOL I love when ppl tell me that.
If you even tune your engine and it's 100% stock you will still gain power and better gas millage. There is always more power that can be squeezed out of a bone stock engine. Unless it was a performance engine...an your isn’t. There still is a few ponies you can get out of it and even few MPG also.

But it's understandable not to spend $400 on a dyno tune for a few hp. along with the $160 for a OBD1 ecu and conversion harness. Only if you are tending on adding aftermarket parts is it really worth getting a tune….but the option is there and it can be done with results on a bone stock engine.

ha agreed! I love 240's. I helped a friend do an ls1 swap in his and then we went to a drift competition. It was so much fun. If I ever had the chance I would get one... And I'm the same about not doing too much besides a cold air intake. Newer car's are just getting harder and harder to work on.. its a shame.

speaking of ls1 swaps there is a guy here in tally that has a rx7 with a BUILT ls1 swap. this guys is making killer I mean KILLER power to weight ratio. He is peaking around the 800hp range( with nitrous) and it's his even his daily driver. He said it was cheaper to go ls1 then replacing the stock rotary engine. Isn’t that some crap?? lol

well I think that its awesome! I am a huge Camaro fan that's what I built with my bf back our Junior year in high school.. (08) It was awesome. But man I can't imagine it being cheaper for all the ls1 parts unless he got it already assembled. Cause we spent a fortune building his, which is a 94 z28 lt1 6speed. But man 800hp, I'd love to drive that car!

not too sure how I feel about it being in a rx7, but I can see why, that car is so light!

he did the whole swap his self. So the lowered the cost by far. He is a little rich punk tho. Mommy and daddy paid FOR EVERYTHING HE DOES. I wanna slap the dog crap out of him for that. I had to work for EVERYTHING I ever wanted.
But as for the car. It's a f-in BEAST!!!!!
He gave a modified wrx 10 cars (from a dig) and came back and spanked him by more than 10 cars in a 1/2 mile run. The scooby barley got him off the line with the all wheel drive train. That was with spraying. He still gave him 10 cars (from a dig) and still spanked him by like 5 cars or so in a 1/4 run. (with no spray)
That car KILLS c6 vetts like they are a go cart...lol The darn think runs LOW 10's in 1/4 mile

BAHAHA, I am the same way everything I do or get its cause I work full time and go to college full time! I feel yeah. But yeah the car does sound beast, need to find it and look at it. Can I have his username? I wanna see the engine. and dang, I like racing off the line, there is a lot of amazing roads in TN to do that, (back neck woods roads with no people for miles). And wow that is saying something if he gave them that much of a head start and still spanked them. Props to him...
