Hello Everyone,

I'm planning to buy a honda accord (coupe & automatic)2003/04 EXL in the coming weeks. I'm stuck on which engine type to choose, the 4 or the V6. I wanted to ask about the difference in fuel consumption? Are they both just as easy to sell? And other advantages of the V6 that makes most people choose it over the 4 Cylinder? Well I realize that I'm a tad behind the curve on responding to this one but welcome to the forum!

As for re-sale the V6 is a small add so it will sell for more, it also uses more fuel because it has more power... basically it all comes down to the person who wants it, on average I'd say a V6 Auto is going to be easier to sell than an I4 automatic

on the 04 the mileage for the six is21 city, and the 4 cyl is 24 city . if i would have known that at the time i would ve went v6. but im happy with the 4 cyl its got all the power i need without getting in too much trouble.

 

I have the 05 EXL V6 Coupe.I get 25mpg combined(city/highway)with the air conditioner on.Better mileage with AC off.The V6 is my choice,because,of the extra power at hand when it is needed.You need to drive both engine combinations before making your choice.The I4 and V6 are excellent engines.Hope this helps.
