New to the forum. When I was younger I had 3 accords in a row and thought they were great vehicles. In the last 12 years I have been purchasing BMW and MB (actually leasing). I would never own one of those brands without a warranty given the possibility of very, very expensive repairs outside of warranty. In June of 2020 I got my son a new Accord EX 1.5. It has less than 5000 miles and the bumper to bumper warranty will expire soon. I know there is a longer warranty on the powertrain. I am aware there were some issues on the 1.5 in the late teens but not sure if they apply to my son's car. Assuming the powertrain is not an issue, are the forum members aware of any other items on the car that are likely to require expensive intervention after the warranty expiration?
