Default Hello Everyone

Hello there,
Friday I picked up my First Honda Accord, I needed a daily driver for work that gets a good Gas MPG and after few days of search I found a good deal, or at least I think it was a good deal , a 1997 Accord that was a One owner car, 4Cyl Auto with 98K on it, and this is going to sound funny but she was a lovely old lady that bought the car New back in 97, she just had the T-belt changed along with all the other fun stuff that go along with that job, and she had the tranny serviced also. the car Needs a Tune up ASAP, so I called the dealership to buy some parts and thats when the Parts guy informed me about the 96 and 97 being on the recalled list, after I gave him the Vin he mumbbbblllledddd for few minutes and then said I can just bring it in and they willdo tune up and an oil change for free!!! didn't say a word to him other than I'll be there on Wed. Car drives Awsome but I think I could use some new Struts, which I will post about that under the right topic, I just wanted to say Hi to everyone and can't wait to come on here every day to learn more and more about the Honda.

I do all the work myself on my cars, I have never worked on a Honda before, the only thing I work on is My 300zx, and thats where the screen name came from, I have bad memory[>:]and so I usedthe same screen name from another Z forum I chat on so I don't forget! I have an older Z31, its a 86 300zx turbo which I dropped enough $$$ into it to make me and most people Sick and another Stock 84 50th Anniversary 300zx. So basically I'm a Nissan guy but always liked Honda's, My wife drove Hondas ever sinceI went out with her back in 94 but ofcourse I had to brainwash her and turn her into a Nissan Driver

Welcome to the forum! Sounds like a really nice car, as I also have a 97 Honda Accord lx sedan! The tune up thing is a nice deal eh?! You get one free between 75k and 150k miles so I am going to hold out on it for as long as I can! I only have 81k on my Accord.

So do you have any planned mods for it?!

thanks, I liike the part about "you people with Low Miles" thats pretty funny

I'm not really thinking about Mods, like I said I wanted to have a car I drive everyday for work, it will be used for deliveries so not many mods are on the "to do" list. BUT, I did buy some Alloy wheels for it (sorry I HATE hub cabs[:'(]) and I'm getting a factory spoiler, but thats it. the Engine will remain stock, unless you know of something I could do to get better bas Milage

thanks everyone for the welcome, so far I've enjoyed reading a lot of stuff on here.
