Hello from Tennessee
I'm new here from Tennessee. My first Honda was a 2008 Honda Rancher 420 (4-wheeler) , but now I have my first Honda Car . A 2012 Accord with the 2.4 liter . I have a fulltime job but I am a hobby mechanic. I am about to change out the transmission fluid so I figured I would get on here and join and learn about my Honda . Trying to see if there's anything different in changing Honda transmission fluid than other cars.

Welcome to HAF!
Nothing particular about changing ATF in Accords. Use of Honda ATF is recommended.
Most change much more frequently (2-3 yrs or 30k miles) than Honda recommends. Pretty cheap insurance to keep an expensive component working correctly.
good luck

Manual or auto trans?
One thing different from other cars is checking the ATF level on the dipstick. Lots of cars want you to check with the engine warmed up & idling. Honda wants to be checked after warmed up with the engine TURNED OFF.
Honda auto trans doesn't have a pan & screen. Just a drain bolt. Fill thru dipstick.

Cool. That is what I do with my Toyota and Mazda. I change their transmission fluid every year no matter if I only put 5,000 or 15,000 miles on it. I hate automatics but i messed up my "clutch knee" so I am forced to drive an automatic. So I try to make them last as long as posssible .
