Hello all, I just got a 1996 Accord EX 5-speed. I hope to learn all about it from you all. Firstly the speedo is not working but I will post a new thread about that.

I am on multiple forums and am an Admin one one and a global moderator on another both are dealing with another car. I won't say what kind until I feel my way through this form (in case there are haters, but I hope not) I am also into cell phones and other electronics. I have SLE Lupus and am currently not able to hold a job so I have lots of free time (when I am not in pain that is). And my favorite color is RED. Right now however I am going to go to sleep so I will be back in the morning.

 

Welcome. The speedo is a pretty common problem. I assume he odometer is not working either. If there is no check engine light for a bad vss then it is most likely a broken solder joint on he back of the panel.

 

Yeah I was leaning towards the cluster being at fault. I have a Bluetooth OBD-II adapter and the "Torque" app on my nook and it reads the speed fine off the BCM. But from the threads I am finding the cruise is suppose to still work and mine doesn't. I guess that means I have two issues to work out.

 

Yeah cruise should still work if its just the cluster.

Oh and don't worry about flaming here, there isn't any, and if there is us mods put a stop to it real quick.
