Hi all!
Hi. Inherited my grandpa's 1991 Accord LX. Used to keep care of it for him when he was out of the country. Got slightly abused by a cousin, but it's now mine. Car rules. 179k miles, and still runs strong! Got a bit of a rough idle while stopped in gear (auto) which I'm investigating, but still a great car. Just put a new alternator and battery in. Car passed smog (barely on idle test). Got the leaky taillight gaskets. New ones already on the way. After a new stereo, I'll be all set! Paint still looks new with the exception of just one side mirror (oxidized).
I've had, and still have awesome cars, but for some odd reason have a soft spot for this Honda. LOL! Sold my baby not too long ago, which was a '96 Impala. Car was amazing, and I didn't wanna sell it. Before that had a '78 Grand Prix that used to set off car alarms every day. Currently have an '02 Bugeye WRX running Stage 2. Car is also amazing. Selling it to be in a better spot financially
. Hopefully this Accord will get me through the next couple years happily!
I try to get to know my cars inside and out, so if there are any obvious mods/fixes that I should be doing for this car specifically, please drop me a line!

Welcome and Thanks for joining HAF !
For the idle, I'll throw one or two at you for starters.....for more please post in the General Tech section after inspecting these two.
Check the mounts...the front and the rear give out after time. Next, a good cleaning of the IACV (idle air control valve) doesn't hurt/cost anything to try...heck while there might as well get the throttle body and butterfly...you're there and have the carb cleaner and rags, why not.
