Long time driver first time forumite 94 Accord
Hello everyone,
My first and still current car is my 94 Accord LX. Ive been through thick and thin with my car. I abuse it cuz I love it. So far it has logged on 276,000 miles on it and it still runs beautifully. Though performance is nice, im always looking for ways to stretch out fuel economy w/out the expense of power. Its nice to be part of a forum that has the sage of seasoned drivers and the spark of spirited enthusiasts. I hope that my experience can be of help others as others may afford to me.
Whats been done to my car?
-A lot of care
-3" Intake (K&N non-cold air, I like smashing into puddles)
-New ground wires (actually runs a bit smoother, smoother idle, smoother shifting, less background noise in stereo)
-Hopped up to 2" exhaust with higher flow stock mufflers (I like to keep the exterior looking incognito)
-NGK wiires and NGK iridium IX spark plugs
I'll be repairing a worn valve guide (Ive got oil on my sparkplug in piston three) and re-honing the cylinders and cleaning the piston heads. I already see a lot of deposits on the cylinder heads. I might even coat my stock headers with POR-20 high temp aluminum finish paint to reduce the black body heat from the engine bay, my heat shield is gone. I might even do a high temp black paint on the undercar exhaust for better heat dissappation.
Anyways, nice to be here.
Cheers,
Henry
