Mice Problem
Got a code PO325 which indicated Knock Sensor problem and after poking around, found where a mouse had chewed the sensor wire in half. Being an expensive repair at the dealer, my son and I decided to tackle it ourselves after reviewing a great youtube video someone had made about what all to pull off to get to the sensor under the intake manifold. We are not mechanics so it took us two hours to get everything removed to expose sensor. We unplugged the sensor and simply spliced the sensor wire back together and taped up . I read the the sensors usually last the life of the car so we decided to leave it in place. Got everything back together and happy to report that we were able to reset the check engine light, car running great and didn't cost us anything but some time. I have been spraying a mixture of peppermint and water in engine bay and around car to ward off more pest and maybe looking into using some packs they sell on Amazon. Hope this helps someone.
