Default New Accord Owner To Be

My old 92 Camaro broke down and i am in the process of buying a 94 Accord from my friend. It is a 2 dr 5spd F22B2 car. I am usually a muscle car guy, but have been wanting a little import for a couple years. He is letting me borrow the car (he has new truck) and just pay him when i get the cash (1500) sometime this week. The car is pretty clean for 1500. It only has 147,000 original miles. He has had the car for 2 years and has absolutely babied it! It runs and performs perfect! Here is the car. Can you guys help me out with a few mods i can do to the stock engine to achieve some more acceleration out of this thing!? I love the car and it has soooooo much potential, but with me not knowing much about imports.... idk what to do, much less where to start:/

Welcome to HAF

I've moved this the the New Member section as it is kind of an intro.

A 5th gen, 5 speed and OBD-I.....your options are WIDE open...cool

First thing, with ANY BUILD, need to figure out where your budget and goals meet.

Thanks for the move!
I really dont have a budget but i dont have a certain "goal" either lol
I am a graduating high school student (May 25) and after i graduate, i will be just working my *** off at my part time job until i ship off of Marine Corps Boot Camp in October. So the car is just something that i am going to be driving daily but i would like to add some mods to gain power and some aesthetic parts to the car as well. So im just looking for things to add that i could save up towards, ya know mods that dont really cost and arm and a leg like a turbo, but things like a short ram intake or throttle body... things of that nature. Thanks in advance for any help!

I know you said your friend "took care" of the car but be sure you have a good base to start with....suspension(might think about lowering it?), timing belt work up to date, brakes, manual trans oil, brake & PS fluid, ect....

Good luck with the USMC

Thanks man! I am definitely going to check into all of that. The car rides smooooooth so im sure steering and suspension are fine. But i will put it on the lift to go through those matters. Brakes were just redone at my family shop a couple months ago. Manual trans oil....? Where is it located? I know about the clutch fluid (Btw what fluid is ok to use for that bc i know u have specific engine oil) Sorry im not familiar with these cars haha. I wil check the PS fluid tomorrow. Timing belt? I heard those have to be changed regularly on these cars?

EDIT: I want to lower it, but i also want a body kit. I dont want to lower it and throw a kit on it and it be so low i cant get in and out of certain driveways without screwing up a front and/or rear bumper. I want to go body kit first... then lower it however much would be comfortable to me. Right now i would go 2 inches rear, 1 1/2 front. I would really rather start off with performance parts first though. That way it isnt all show no go. Just need some helpful tips and suggestions for the build.

Here are some of my main concerns:

1. CAI or SRI for acceleration?
2. What other cheap ($300 < X) mods are there to do to add accel? I know clutch.
3. Body kit choices for a "mild" look? As well as small spoiler (not a park bench)?
4. Size wheels and tires that will fill up the wheel wells nice?
5. How to replace shift boot and what is a nice set up to go with? (pics please if u can)
6. Exhaust to achieve a low deep tone?
7. Rev limiter around 4000rpm? Wtf?!

Im sure ill come up with more lol
thanks again
