Just joined. Wife has had her 1998 Honda Accord 2D with the V6 since 2001. We've put 140K miles on it since then and we're running into a problem. I hope to learn more about the car so I can do any repairs.

Thanks, Jeremy

Done. I'm sure once the wife gets a new car and the Accord is my DD, I'll make modifications and be on the forum more.

just joined, i have a 2000 ex loaded it has 157k on it & for the past 18 months i have had eratic shift problems & slow shifting. When i take off I have to accelerate slowly to allow the trans. to engage otherwise the trans. klunks hard & the car jerks into gear @ very high rpms. I have used bottle after bottle of lucas trans. oil to no avail. Is there any fix besides a new or rebuilt trans. My car is paid for but should i sell it before it breaks.

sounds typical for that generation...there was a warranty extension, but you're past the mileage...it was 7yr/100k i beleive....
