Default New to forum

Hello

I just wanted to introduce myself and say I have enjoyed reading the forums this morning. My 2003 Honda Accord is getting her oil changed today, and I was looking for suggestions on oil brands and filters. The car dealership (not a Honda) recommended Castrol Synthetic and I specified a Honda filter. My car has approx 99,500 miles on it, and I am trying to do as much preventative maintenance as possible. And from what I have read this morning, I see a new timing belt is in my near future. Thanks for all of the great info! I hope to gain much from the use of this website.

Welcome!
I've been using Castrol GTX & PureOne filters for a long time on the Hondas. Choice of oil is like asking about religion or politics, sometimes there's strong opinions. Most important is just that you don't neglect it.

The V-6 has a timing belt. If you have a 2003 4-cyl, that has a chain which you don't normally change.

Thank you so much! You just made my day! I have a 4-cyl and didn't know there was timing belt difference with the V-6
