Default New to the forums

Hey, my name is Tyler. I've been looking around on these forums, ebay, and TASAUTO and I've decided I want to do some work on my BONE STOCK 1994 Accord LX. It only has 130k with a BRAND NEW transmission, so I'm willing to put some money into it. It's a very nice car and the owner before me has paperwork showingservice at every 3000 miles since it was new.

Here is what I would like to do, probably in this order.
Stereo and speaker upgrade: about $150
Wheels (used): $150
Short Ram intake: $50
New Hood (current one is scratched and dented): $100 Hopefully in Nightshade gray or black. I don't like mix-n-matching colors
Small spoiler (Not the wings off a boeing): $150
Fog Lights: $75

After that I don't know where I'll go with this car. If anyone has any experience or suggestions on any of the above, I would like to hear your input. I probably won't start anything until after Thanksgiving or maybe even Christmas. Thanks

Hey Tyler, welcome! Nice to see you got a 5th gen Accord. I love them! Your plans for an upgrade are alright for a start. What kind of a stereo upgrade are you looking at? Something cheap and non-stock? In my car I have a $300 Panasonic receiver with 4 JBL GTO series speakers and a JBL GT sub, 300W RMS, 1100W max. In all it cost under $700, but I got most of it for free as a gift from my dad. If you want some cheap deals, try woofersetc.com. They are really cheap and carry most major brands. As for the wheels, I am not sure how you are gonna pull off a deal for $150 lol. A while back I bought 4 new tires and it cost me $200 something. For the intake, you can get a SRI or CAI pipe from ebay for cheap, but I would recommend either a K&N or AEM air filter, preferrably AEM, but I think the AEM V2 intake (I have this one in my car) beats them all. That there will set you back $300 something. For your hood I'm not sure where you are going to get a hood for $100 either. Spoiler... try the Accord SiR spoiler or a stock 94 one. Just don't get the 96-97 spoilers. They were designed slightly different from the 94-95 spoilers and the mounts are different. And the foglights... I would recommend JDM stock foglights. Hey, have fun working on your car. It's one of my favorite things to do!

if you want cheap performance for speakers get sony xplods. don't quote me on this, but i think your car has 4 6" speakers, and you can pickup a pairof 6" xplods for about $50-$60. Ive got 4 6" xplods and a 220wxplod head unit, it pounds pretty good. Cant go wrong for the price.

welcome tyler, glad to hear you got a 5th gen accord, as, in my opinion, they are the best. You should post pictures when you get a chance.

Well I found a set of 4 wheels for $160.. not quite by budget but I made it work. They are off a 2000 accord, not amazing wheels but much nicer than the steelies. Lol. My speakers are 6.5 and 6x9 but thanks for the suggestions anyways. I'm looking to get a cheap setup, probably around $150 not $700 lol.I'm not looking for anything amazing, just not stock.
