Welcome here and my advice is that if you have an Auto trans drain the fluid and fill with Honda Fluid.
The 98 - 02 generation is known for having a lot of Auto Trans problems

thanks for the tip. i have a stick shift accord. would that be the same? or am i in the clear from having problems

You are in the clear - much better trans.

The Auto for your generation is basically a ticking bomb, not if but when will it blow.

There really are not any other things you should worry about.

Gas and go.
