Default New guy, 94 4 door

Hey hey all!
A buddy of mine just gave me his 94 after buying an 03.
It needs some work of course and I'm a DIY guy, so here I am.

Welcome to the club and congratulations on your new-to-you '94, always glad to have another DIYer join the forums. Hopefully, we can steer you in the right direction no matter what you choose, or don't choose, to do! So feel free to ask away!

Thanks for joining.

A few things I'll throw out there. #1, you have one heck of a buddy/ #2, the 5th gen Accord's are some pretty solid cars and should serve you well if you take care of it.

Nice "grab" on an Accord.

Welcome to the forum. And yes, we can always use another DYIer here. From what I've found, this is the best site for getting help on almost anything you need help on. I'd recommend spending some time in the forums, looking thru similar postings about any problems. I found some stuff that I wasn't even looking for when I did that. There's just so much good info in the pages here.

Oh, and a heads up, ask your buddy when the car had it's timing belt replaced last. I only say that, as they should be replaced every 60,000 miles.

Thanks all for the welcomes!
The timing belt was just done fairly recently after breaking.
So far my plans are getting everything caught up maintenance wise, everything functioning properly, and cleaned up a little, under the hood is atrocious!
When I had a Volvo a few years ago, the Volvo guys called it a stage 0 tune, having all maintenance items current and CEL codes.
Although my CEL doesn't come on other than at starting, so I know it works lol
My buddy is very much one that doesn't do anything to his car until it has to be, so I've got a little bit of a project.
