I have a 92 accord lx 2 door. I am having a major problem. It won't start. I've tried so many things, new plugs, wires, fuel filter, not a pump cuz it is good. It has a new alternator, battery, distributor, and the starter is good. I just can't firgure it out. It is really hurting me to not have this car running. I just want to get it fixed because I really like this one and I really don't want to get rid of it, but it is becoming quite the money pit and I really don't want to keep spending money on something that isn't going to work

Have you checked to see whether you have spark and/or fuel before throwing all those expensive parts at it?
Main relay?
Switch off all the noisemakers. Turn the key to "ON" but don't immediately continue to "START". Listen for the fuel pump to run for3 seconds & then stop. It's not very loud, so you might want someone to listen back at the fuel filler cap.

The car is getting fuel and spark. The fuel pump does whine when you turn it to on. Like I said, plugs and wires have just been replaced since I got the car 3 months ago. I have maybe put 50 miles on it since then. When you try to start it, it fires 1 or 2 times, then just cranks on the starter. It will crank on the starter for about 2 cycles, then fire a couple of times and keep doing the same thing. I usually let off at that time so I don't mess anything else up. The parts aren't the problem, I just keep thinking that I am replacing parts that are unnecessary.
I don't like to take anything for granted, so I'm not trying to be insulting, but here goes...
New parts don't guarantee it has spark. You may have a broken wire somewhere between the ECU & distributor. Have you pulled off a wire, stuck in any old spark plug, & actually checked for spark?
Good that the fuel pump runs. But that doesn't prove the injectors are firing. Smell any gasoline at the tailpipe? Take out a plug after cranking, check if it's wet with fuel?
Maybe flooded? After cranking, pull the vacuum hose off the fuel pressure regulator. It's possible the FPR's diaphragm is torn, allowing a ton of gas into the intake manifold.

see, that's what I thought, so I pulled off my #4 wire and you could smell gas. I took the injectors out one at a time while turning having somebody else turn it over and they are working and spraying. do you know if there is anyway to test an ecu
