I did a wipe down on the engine but is it safe to take a hose to it?

It is safe to take a hose to it. You gotta cover up the distributor and avoid spraying obvoious places LIKE YOUR INTAKE!!! Cover it up as well. Dont spray the battery and I try to avoid the fuse boxes even though they are quite protected. Also... the last time I sprayed my engine at the car wash I got water down in the spark plugs, and on take off they car missfired on a cylinder. Better to do this at home when its a warm temperature so you can dry out your spark plug holes :P

I actually just use detailing spray and a spent microfiber ...... like the one that you just wiped down the car with ....... or I wet it and wipe down the rims.
