Hello Guys, i'm new here. I live in Florida and i'm not one of those people interest in beefing up my ride or making it look nice. i just want to keep the wheels moving and car running. I have a 92 Accord EX A/T that was given to me by a lady at my church about 4 years ago. she was buying her daughter a new car (must be nice) and didn't think she was going to get what the car was worth if she traded it in. she came to me and asked me if i wanted a car and of course that's not something i'm going to turn down lol!

I worked at my local Honda dealership for about a year before the big boss decided he didn't like a female in his shop and hated that i refused to quit school and work for him full time. at the time i was going to college to get a degree in Automotive Technology which is why i was working in a repair shop in the first place.

My mom got me started working on cars. she was a heavy equipment mechanic in the Army and my dad was a gas engine mechanic. my dad didn't think it was "macho" to let my mom drive or work on the car but was too lazy to work on the car himself. he didn't think my mom knew what she was talking about when there was a problem on the car even though she was a mechanic before they met. once they decided mutually it was time for him to get out of her house, she took up the work again and required me and my bro to be out there with her. even if all we could do was pass tools and read the manual. it got to where i enjoyed working on the car and when i was 18 i changed my starter by my self. I went out to my car to go somewhere one day (don't remember where) and my car wouldn't start. i went in and asked my mom what it might be and told her what it did. she said it was the starter. she had a busy work week and wouldn't be able to have time to do it until the end of the week. by Wednesday i had gotten impatient and went out to do it myself. getting the old one tested and getting a tool i need and everything. when she got up that evening for work i was just coming out from under the car. i reached in and the car started right up. that is when i decided i want to go to school to work on cars.

 

You could end up being a regular in here and we would more than Likely like that..
We can end up putting you in charge of the Ladies in here..there are quite a few lurking around in the forums..

I don't allow no cussing or off color remarks or any **** in here as you can see when your looking around.
The members in here respect each other and very seldom ever even get on each other in arguments..That's the way my mods and I operate this forum.

This HAF.. is know as the cleanest of all forums on the internet...and as long as My mods and I are in charge...it will stay that way..

i think this is the perfect place for me then. sounds like a very nicely moderated place. i don't like finding forums like that with a lot of cursing, off color remarks, pornographic images and people fighting with each other
