New here from NY
Hey my names Mike. I just got handed a 1998 accord v6 ex with 149,500 miles. I have never owned a Honda before so not shore what I should be looking for or what the normal problems are. Its my wifes car now so I want it safe and so on. It dose not burn or eat a drop of oil and it dose not leak any either. What I do know is, it was maintained fron new to about 90k then just oil changes every 3500 miles since then. I do not have the book on it so I have know idea what needs to be done to it at what miles. The check engine light is on so I need to fix that asap to pass inspection.
The 98-02 Accords(Especially v6s) were plagued with transmission issues. So keep an eye out for the transmission slipping. Although there isn't much you can do to prevent it once it starts, just gives you an idea of how long you have left in it.
If the timing belt hasn't already been done it needs to be done ASAP.
