New Member - Accord Hybrid
Just bought a new '07 Accord Hybrid a week ago to replace an '03 Maxima SE and alread logged our first trip from San Jose to Vegas and back. The car was great, averaged 31mpg, was comfortable and quiet. Looking forward to many more trips.

RE: New Member - Accord Hybrid
Thanks for the welcome. The Accords (sedans and coupes) have LED stop/tail lamps and LED CHMSLs. The turn signal function is still a conventional bulb. The LEDs in the rear lamps are Lumileds SnapLED and Lumileds SuperFlux in the CHMSL.
The Hybrid comes loaded. The only choices I had to make were color and with or without Nav. Since I'd just bought my wife a Nuvi 660, we skipped the nav unit. The trunk-lid has a lip that I think is unique to the Hybrid and all the hybrids have the XM antanae at the back center of the room so they're pretty easy to pick out from a distance.
We covered almost 1000 miles on our first trip and averaged close to 31.5mpg which is acceptable given the EPA ratings of 28 and 35 which are still the inflated numbers. It will be interesting to see how the car does in mostly city driving over the next year.
My only real concern is that the depreciation is likely to be steep. It will be interesting to see what scheme exists to replace the batteries when the time comes.
I'll post photos this weekend.

i would think your mileage would improve as you rack the miles up on the car...but you are ata good starting point. mine started in the mid 20s and now is in the low 30s...11.5k miles
