Hi I drive a 2006 Honda Accord coupe . I’ve changed the alternator,starter,battery twice ! Took out the indash that I bought thinking it was killing the battery but I drove to work and the light came back on again . Has anyone else have this problem. Also I changed the eld fuse

 

I have 2006 Honda Accord 4-dr. 6 cyl. My dome light up front does not come on when I open the doors.

However when you press either light (there are two, driver and passenger) they light up just fine so the bulbs are not burnt out... but they will not come on when the doors open like they should...

I had my mechanic try to repair it. He says that the switch definitely shorted out.

He tried to find a replacement switch. Was informed the part was discontinued.

Anyone know where I can purchase this part?

 

Search amazon for the dome light switch, then search YouTube for the installation. These switches often fail.
