Default New Member, A little help please!

Recently bought a used 1996 Honda Accord LX 2.2L
It Isn't leaking any fluids/oil and so far I haven't seen any oil burning...First thing I did when I got it is do a tune up, New Spark plugs, Coils, Also I noticed a problem soon after that the Distributor was failing so I end up buying a new one and my Electric problem went away..(Keep in mind a mechanic friend has helped me) My car knowledge isn't that great. The next fix I had to do was the Clutch Hydraulics. I had lost pressure so I replace the leaking master clutch cylinder and Slave since they looked to be original parts, (the bleeding and getting pressure was a pain) Finally its nice and tight again.

My question and hopefully I can get help is on the following:

My clutch has life left on it, however It does slip....I obviously cannot rev up the car too fast or else you can noticed the clutch slipping and also the first gear is a lil bit hard to get it in...(I'm doing my very best to not force it and tomorrow I plan on changing the Tranny fluid with OEM Honda Transmission fluid.

So I need help finding a good Stage 2 I think Clutch and Light flywheel... Keep in mind money is an issue but also I dont want to skimp on a cheap part that will leave me hanging down the road.

Please pardon my writing skills...I will really appreciate it any help.

Welcome to HAF...

Unless you are going to do some upgrages to the engine and that, I'd just go back with a stock clutch set.

I'm with poorman, a stage 2 really isnt necessary. I would just get a exedy oem spec clutch and put it in. Exedy is a great brand and if driven properly I would expect it to last for the remainder of the vehicles life.

As far as light weight flywheels its really up to you. Fidanza and ACT make good ones, but also isnt really necessary on an otherwise stock vehicle.

Cool Thanks man. Wondering if you could direct me to a site where I could see prices and ways to order it? As of right now money being an issue I dont want to make huge upgrades and If I was I would question it since its only a 4cylinder 2.2l, Perhaps If once I finished fixing some of the inside and outside things perhaps I could look into upgrading the engine...Thanks poorman212 and live2rice. Oh the car had 172k miles on it, No noises except for the Catalytic that definitely needs change.

Not sure of a good site if you are set on that brand, google a few of them. Get the part numbers for the brand you want, then search for the part number and find the place with the best price - being sure it is the brand and part number you are wanting.

Thanks poorman212, Will likely buy the flywheel online and a stock clutch at local store...Next thing I will do after is replace the bad catalytic I got...and maybe depending on price looking into overhauling Exhaust system.
