Newbie to Honda
Hello. I'm a long time GM owner. My previous vehicles include '90 Olds Cutlass Calais, '97 Chevy s10 pickup (lowered 4", and alot of mods, more of a street truck than a lowrider), and a '01 Chevy Blazer LT (loaded, but the monthly repair bill was costing about as much a car payment so I decided to trade her in).
My father was a GM (Oldsmobile) mechanic for over 30 years, and now works for the same dealerchip, but they sell Kia & Mitsubishi instead. Obviously he had a huge influence on me when I was buying my first few vehicles, but now I decided to change things up a bit. The Blazer was driving us both crazy, I had to take it in for repairs at least once a month (145,000 miles), and he was sick-and-tired of working on it. I traded it in for a silver 2002 Accord EX, 3.0, leather, sunroof, etc with 58,600 miles from Acura of Brookfield, WI. I think this car came with just about every option available. So far, I love it. I had a hard time looking at imports, but after getting burned with the depreciation of my domestics, things were a little easier to swallow.
I'm not sure if the mod bug will hit me with this car any time soon. I bought this car primarily for a commuter vehicle, but you never know. I might start small... clear side markers maybe?
Anyways, I'll be in here periodically, reading around and I'm looking forward to my next couple years as a Honda owner.
