write this right on the contract " contract is void if agreed financing does not come through" cause they will say that they will "try" to get you that 3.9 but then after you have already agreed to buy the car they will say.. o sorry we can only get you 8.9

and really you shouldnt go down there today expecting to "pick up the car". really make a low offer and just walk out if they dont like it. then hit up another dealership and give them the same shpeal. youll find a salesman that wants to sell you a car. if you dont do this i can guarantee you that you will be spending thousands more than you need to. with the navi you shouldnt pay more than 23000 for the car that you want. and without the navi like 21000. there is a previous post in here where a girl did that. she told them 21000 thousand for a new v6 and they said no so she took off. 2 days later they called her up and asked her to come on down cause they wanted to sell her the car for that price.

theres a cost that the dealer incurs for just keeping that car on the lot. and its in the thousands. you just tell them that you want that storage cost. those cars prolly sit on the lot on average of 4-6 months which costs about 2000 dollars for the space and insurance etc.. and then tell them you want half of the salesmans commission and half of the managers commission on that car.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, the car she wants was pretty difficult to find. I've only found one in Northern California and it was 95 miles away. So, it's being delivered to my sales company today for a fair price.

The odd thing about Honda dealerships in northern California is that they don't deal too much. In fact, I had agreed to a price via email and a voice mail from Vacaville and never got a call back. Told other dealerships the price we were offered and they said they would not match it.

I guess that 3.9 went away last week. Bummer.

Okay, we got the car lastnight. I want to look at it in the day light without all this rain we're receiving. It's a pretty car but it drives kinda boaty compared to what I'm used to. As long as it keeps the wifey and the baby safe, I'm all for it. No blinking CEL's, no huge repair bills, just easy driving.

In my opinion the VW's are a touch better stock suspension than Accords but that's about all I have good to say about them Stock Vs. Stock... (It may be because of the rain/tires too... New tires are slick due to their coating from the factory)... However not paying large repair bills should be a pretty nice trade off!

I've honestly have not had any problems like my wife had. I've noticed that VW raised the game for dashstroking in the late 90's, but the Japanese companies have done some nice work freshening their interiors. My little GTI does feel a tad antiquated since sitting in the nicely appointed Accord. But, we were so comfortable having no car payments! Argh!!!
