2700 for a 6th gen with almost as many miles as mine?? I mean, mine's a rebuilt title but still i got it for 500 bucks

Want a cookie? $500 is about all I'd give for a Honda with a salvage title too.

Cleaned the VTEC solenoid and cleared the codes and the car hasn't missed a lick yet. I can try to get a pic posted in the next few days.

No need to get testy! Annie runs perfectly, don't write off every rebuild you see.

Cbolyard, I got your PM but it probably makes more sense to answer it here. You'll get more help & maybe it'll help other people too.

If you test the vent-shut valve & it turns out to be the cause of P1457, then I don't really know much about Dorman parts. Heard the name mentioned a lot here on HAF, but haven't bought one. There's probably someone here that has firsthand knowledge. It also depends on how much cheaper it is vs. OEM part.

Thanks Jim. The Dorman part is about $30, roughly half of the OEM part from what I've seen. I have heard bad things about Dorman products for a different particular application so if the same is true in this case I'd rather spend the money for OEM that is guaranteed to work as it's supposed to.
