I've had my new '06 Accord EX-L now for almost a month. It's an awesome car. We have had 1 problem, however, the 6 disc in-dash cd changer failed. Honda replaced it in a timely manner. I'm a happy camper. I have the 4 cyl model, and despite my fears, it has more than enough power. We're getting 25+ mpg so far in mostly in town driving. Can't wait to get her out on a road trip.

Welcome. You'll get good high way mileage Honda I4's are powerful, but often peaky (high rpm power) The K-series (the 04+ Accord, RSX, TSX) is better at making power down low than previous models.

Welcome Bill Cook! Looks like we're both newbies. You're a newbie with a new car, and I'm a newbie that bought an "oldy".

You don't have to spin the new four bangers up as high as previous models. With 160 torque available @ 4500 RPM constant downshifting isn't required to make brisk forward progress. Mine pulls strongly from 30 MPH in 4th gear even before the DC exhaust header was installed. It's even better now.
