Default Saving the UK economy

My last car was a diesel 306 I've put more gas in my 2.3 in 4 days than I would use in a month in the Puggy. Its been worth it. Every mile is a pleasure.

Yes, and petrol is more expensive over there, too.

Welcome! Glad you like your Honda.

Default Our Govt rips us off!

currently around £0.89/litre for regular unleaded and £0.94 for Shell V Power 98Ron.

I've always had cheap basic cars until now. Doing 600 mile round trip down to England to see my folks this weekend. Will see how far it goes on a tank of fuel. We also have speed cameras everywhere I have a scanner but just gonna take it easy. Speed limit is 70mph on the motorway but the police tend to only bother unless you are doing 90+.

Not that I would do that.

Thank you for the welcome Stanley and Jim.
We dont get the 3.0L V6 in the UK our engines tend to be on the smaller side. I'm finding the 2.3 manual/stick ideal for our roads. I'm new to Honda as you can probably tell.

Welcome, good to see some UK users here. I'm actually thinking of moving to Portsmouth to help my cousin start a pub. If I do end up making the trip I'll be trying to import my V6 6Spd... I know it wont get much of a work out except maybe if I take it for a trip up to see the Nuremberg . It's all still up in the air though.

Default V6

Import costs could be high. We dont get many of the v6s here but second hand larger engine cars have never been cheaper than they are now.

There is a Honda Legend 3L V6 for sale near me for £1200. I would be tempted if I had not just got a 2.3L TypeV Accord.

Exclamation Killer roadkill

I lived in DC in the 80s but only really saw the east coast. Hoping to visit again in the next couple of years. We are planning a motorcycle tour from NY right across country.

Recently back from Australia where I covered 3000km. Fantastic roads the only real danger was roadkill that can kill you.

Heard about a guy who hit a Kangeroo. The beast came through the windshield landed in the passenger seat. It was not stunned and kicked the guys jaw off, he died from head injuries. Dk if the Roo survived.

Yeah, the costs are pretty high... not to mention it would be a little difficult if say... the clutch went out... I'm not sure if there are any UK Honda's that use the same assembly. I know that I can get most of the engine parts off of some of the SUV's... other than that I'll have to import parts also

I just didn't want to give up my car again.
