1990 accord lx gas saving help

Default 1990 accord lx gas saving help

im trying to make it save some more gas what else should i work on?
i am going to replace spark plugs and wires
change air filter
clean injector
is there anything else i should look at?

Replace distributor cap and rotor, if they are due.

Also, make sure the air pressure in the tires are all at the recommended level. That recommended pressure is on a sticker on the driver's door jamb.

Honda seems to like NGK spark plugs best.

General clean-up. Dirty throttle body & throttle plate? Got any vacuum hoses that are getting old & cracked? Eliminate any vacuum leaks.

Got a timing light? Advance your spark timing a bit but keep it inside the acceptable range.

Check whether your brakes are dragging?

Suspension alignment and/or replace worn shocks (IF they're worn).

When it's time to replace tires, there's some models that have less rolling resistance - usually labeled as "energy-saving" or Goodyear "Fuel/Max" or something like that. They are generally NOT the more sporty - performance tires so you gotta make the choice.

But the most important, most influential thing BY FAR is how you use your right foot.
