91 Accord F22A Turbo?
Yea i know it'll cost some cash, i have $300ishto play with, i could get another $300 for junking the el camino so right now, its on hold until the weather warms up, or until next spring because i dont have a heated garage and it gets pretty damn cold up here.
yeah your not going to be able to turbo a car for $300, and prob not $600 either. a manifold alone will cost you $300. Not to mention it will probably be hard to find one for the turbo off the van
Boosting on such a tight budget leads to bad things. So far, I have all used parts from reputable sources and I got some insane prices on things and I have more money invested in the piggyback computer alone than your entire budget. Bare minimum, you are going to need an AFC controller and larger injectors to see any real power gain. I can sell you a V-AFC for $80 plus shipping, but expect to pay another $200 on used injectors. Then, mani and piping as noted above. You are going to need oil lines, wastegate, BOV, a vacuum block and you should have instrumentation (boost, A/F, oil pressure gauges ...... EGT is good to have as well).
yea you guys are right, screw it i got up underneath it and took a look, it'll be too much work to get it decent, it needs new gas/brake and power steering lines. So you guys were right to get a turbo on this thing wouldnt be worth it. Ill keep it na for now but thanks anyways for the info.
To give you an idea, here's my current list. Don't expect to get such a good deal on the turbo setup that I got.
Turbo, manifold, wastegate, BOV, downpipe, IC, intake $1050
AEM F/IC and Boomslang harness $700
Cylinder Head and Oil Adapter $285
DW 550 cc/min fuel injectors $195
Also, you don't need the cylinder head. The cheaper version of the oil adapter would be a T connection. I also have an oil filter relocation and 10 micron filtration kit that I never put on the accord.
NOTE: I still need IC piping, instrumentation and a tune.
