Default 2009 Honda Accord review

"Honda is preparing a new installment of their medium sedan for 2008. Featuring the new "Keen Edge Dynamics" design, the new Accord will offer a brilliant cocktail of comfort and performance. Following the general lines of the Sports 4 concept car, the 2008 Honda Accord is expected to make a real splash in the sport sedan segment, giving serious headaches to all the Mazda 6s and Alfa 159s out there..."

This is from an exclusive review on the 2009 new Accord model from Honda. You can find info about it's design and performance, history and competition, and also view a photo gallery and artist's impressions.

will never see it........the accord sold well when it was conservatively styled and it will remain that way........ when they did the radical redo for 03, the sales fell by a considerable percentage........

This thread should be titles 2009 accord concept? not review because there is no review in this thread........

I think they should leave the accord alone and take that concept car, offer it in a 2dr and 4dr model and rebadge it as the new CRX... or just give us a new CRX...

This is what motor trend thinks the new accord may look like..............

With Toyota's new Camry picking up sales from disenchanted sport/utility buyers, and increased competition from an updated Nissan Altima, all-new Saturn Aura, and Kia Optima, the next Accord is an especially critical car for Honda.

Styling of the 2008 model due late next year will have some of the new Civic design philosophy, with a wide stance, large wheels, and clean, flowing styling. The car is said to be larger overall than the current model and, unlike Camry, the range will include a new coupe.

A new Accord hybrid is another question, as the current version isn’t selling as well as full-hybrid-powered cars like the Camry (and it’ll have competition from Altima and Aura hybrids in 2007). But Honda recently announced it would bring a new fuel-efficient “clean diesel” to the United States by 2009.

Based on the current Euro-market 2.2-liter turbodiesel four, it’ll eschew the emerging urea-injection technology in favor of a twin-layer catalyst that converts nitrogen oxide diesel emissions into ammonia and then into simple nitrogen gas. Honda says it complies with emissions standards in all 50 states.

If they made hybrids in a coupe version I would get one. However, if they made a hydrogen powered car under 20 thousand dollars I would get one of those instead of a hybrid. I seriously would rather have Honda kick it off with the first production hydrogen car because I think Honda's car would be best designed. I simply just love Honda's style.
