In looking at the numbers they didn't have much choice but to screw you on the trade.... honestly from a business perspective they were probably wound into that car for all of the asking price, I'll bet it's been sitting there for quite some time.... I mean the car books for over $7000 but has a $2500.00 deduction for miles.

A requirement for premium fuel would also up your operating costs. Glad (for you) that it fell through.

We havent ever run premium in my wifes Maxima, 87 octane for two years now. It runs just fine, no knocks or pings, no trouble with it at all.

It's just a manufacturer's suggestion thing. My grandfather's Maxima ('88) has never tasted preminum fuel other than the one complementary free tank of gas when he bought it. The engine is still strong after 150k.....and surprisingly clean and shiny. I don't know how he does it!

So they sold the Maxima the next day, good luck with whoever bought that 168k car. My friend uses premium in his Maxima 1996, and he claims he went up 2 mpg then using regular.

car looks nice a clean, but high miles for that car, if it was an accord, 168k would be nothing,
but nissans arent as reliable as hondas

Its somewhere on Maxima.org

I know the 3.5s require premium. I think the 3.0 says for "optimum performance" use premium, but runs fine on regular.
Its all up to theowner and how cheap they are, I know a girl thats leasing a 2004 GTO and she puts regular, definaltey doesnt feel like 350hp on regular[:@]
