RE: Accord mileage post
I have 99 V6 LX-iand go about 50 miles a day roundtrip. It has about 85,000 miles on it and no work has been done to it yet. I just want to add a little story about my nite last nite.....I challenged a 5.0 mustang (89?) and it beat me off the line but i blew its doors off coming on the home stretch....IMPORTS ALL THE WAY.

Hi everyone - new guy here but not new to Accords. I'm on my second it's a 97 LX and I'm pretty happy with it! The point to this post is to see howmany miles youfolks put on your cars.Maybe brag a little and swap commute distances, looking over this site it has more of a tech feel to it but mileage is important too (to the mods, sorry if this is the wrong thread).
Bottom line is I drive 150 miles a day round trip to Port Newark NJ daily, I have 233,000 miles on my car and get this -- it's the ORIGINAL CLUTCH!! I average 32 miles a gallon and 3 trips between fillups (at least 450 miles).
I cannot complain about the performance of this car.
Does anybody else have similar a story?
Do all clutches last this long - is there a prize???
Let the one - upmanship begin!
Rick
Hi |Rick..
I think that when you get that many miles you do get a prize and that would be a New Pilot Bearing [sm=bounceybounce.gif]
