Default Added Another Honda Accord

Well, I've added another Honda to the family.

89 LXi 2 Dr coupe 5 Speed, yes I really like the 3rd gen's. Picked it up this afternoon. Not bad for $700 if I do say so. Only 207K on it, t belt done at 197K, too bad they didn't spring for the WP at that time cause guess what, it's grinding and leaking. One of the reasons they are selling it, add to that they say when it is hot outside it won't start......nice to know your Hondas. So I have to throw a new WP in next weekend, along with a new VC gasket and or dist o-ring- oil leaking under dist -and either swap the relay from my other or a new one. Clutch was done at 170K and the real kicker is the AC still works (converted to 134a), my son won't know how to act, but then he remembered he'll be in OCS next summer so his little brother might get to enjoy that while he is there.

Now I just need to get rid of the 87 LX 5 speed and the 89 LXi auto before the wife kills me for all of the cars in the driveway. One is crashed in the rear, the other has a blown head gasket....any takers?

Thanks Ang.......and if I told you that I've also had an 81 2 dr hatch-read between the lines here-kids came along- 4 doors from here on- an 85 4 dr and an 86 4 dr DX, that makes it worse. I'm now thinking that something may be wrong with me????? I kept the Chevelle for the "me" days.....and old v8 Chevy, that's what I'm talking about.
Upon closer inspection tonight, VC and dist o ring ok....PS pressure hose has a "pin leak", sparys in that direction making you think it is the corner of the VC and or the o ring. So trade the VC and o ring for a new ps hose.....hey for what I paid for it, can't complain. The boy should be rolling next week, if he comes home next weekend...I only supervise the kids when it comes to their cars these days, they have to learn this stuff one way or another,,,,,and if that is all they ever get from me I'll have to call it good.
