Been doing some thinking
So I've been doing some thinking the past couple days. Is it really worth it to build a N/A motor? here is an estimated cost run down:
Darton MID sleeves:$1300
Pistons:$600
Rods:$300
Cams:$600-1000
Valve springs:$300
Retainers:$300
port and polish:$600-1000
other machine work:$who knows
random bearing timing belt etc etc:$1000
ITBs:$1500
race header:$1200
500hp axles:$900
total:$9400ish
All in a car that isnt getting any younger. So my other option I am looking at is getting another car.
I was looking into AP1 S2000s, and you can get one for 10-12k. I have always liked the s2000, and it would be a nice fast reliable car(untill i got my hands on it). Its also RWD which is a plus. Neither the accord nor s2k would be driven in the winter so thats not an issue.
what are your guys opinions?(since its an accord forum I would expect it to be a little bias.

I will never sell the accord, could never get anywhere close to what I put into it, plus who wants to sell their first car. I would do a stock rebuild on the h23 I have, and then put that in to solve the oil burning problem and have a H23 vtec and have it be pretty quick. Then buy the S2K as a chick getting car/rwd/fun/convertable. And the S2000 has a F20C..........not a K series.
Yeah, that's right.... I was thinking K20 mah bad.
If you're not going to sell the Accord... I'd just go with the build plan you have... there's no way I could justify myself buying another car and not selling the one I have...

yeah idk, either one would be sweet, its just $10,000 is alot of money to put into a 12 year old car. And its not worth it to sell it for, realistically, $4,000. When I put at least 10k into it already
The F22c is more like a K series engine than any F series. It also has FRM sleeves like the H series. As for building it, the only thing you can really do is to swap the diff gears. Otherwise, it's mostly maxed out. If you lower an S2k, you will hurt the handling.
Awesome car though!!!

must say i am leaning towards a S2K, great looks, great aftermarket support, great handling, decently fast stock, 6spd rwd.

with just rims and a hard top it looks damn sexy.
