Bowlers! What do you throw?
Always looking for bowlers out there, good way to find something in common w/ someone else.
I've been bowling for roughly 2 years (started working at a bowling alley, gotta bowl)
Average between mid 190's-210's ((usually)).
I HAVE thrown:
Brunswick:
Ultimate Inferno
Radical Inferno
Total Inferno

BIG fan of the No Limit, the Gamebreaker and the Smash Time Pearl... waiting for my Raid and my NVS to come in for Christmas. Also have some Dexter SST5's coming in for new shoes because I ripped the toe on my drag foot (read: I drag my foot) on my other shoes.
Anyone else a big fan of the game?

I used to bowl twice a week for 2 years straight. I never bought a ball, just used 14lb. ball at the alley. My high is was a 272(trust me, it was) and I averaged about the same as you, 190-215ish

I used to bowl twice a week for 2 years straight. I never bought a ball, just used 14lb. ball at the alley. My high is was a 272(trust me, it was) and I averaged about the same as you, 190-215ish
my high game was.. I think.. 293 or something rediculous like that... messed up the 10th after the first strike.

wow...am I on the wrong site? I think that question gave me a semi...
Anyway...i typically throw brunswick and storm, for a couple of reasons...first, i have some pretty solid contacts with brunswick..I can usually get stuff comped or at least buy from the mfgr at cost. Storm finds its way into my bag because I bowl the high roller 2x a year, and usually end of with a few rocks because or either comps or entry count...
the better reason than that is that they compliment each other very nicely. Everything storm makes is flippy as hell, and everything brunswick makes tends to make its motion early. Drill a storm ball to roll early, and it will still have a flip characteristic. Drill a brnuswick ball to flip late, and it will still pick up a roll early...
I just retooled, since I hadnt drilled anything since the summer...went with a jolt (accutread coverstock is incredible), attitude shift, blast zone, sidewinder, pearl fury, and a new white dot...jolt and sidewinder are quite impressive...havent had much of a chance to use the other stuff yet.
I stay away from ebonite for the most part...they make decent stuff, but i just dont have a use for it. they release something every 6 days, and its impossible to keep up with it.
what do you bowl around chicago? boot hills? that's the only thing worthwhile. for a huge city, chicago is a terrible bowling town.

I tried to avoid the topic with smaglik since he is a font of knowledge on so many fronts. I believe him about the car.
Sadly the only bowling lane within 250 miles of me is at NAS Boca Chica, which has been access restricted since 9/11.
Longago I got a 190 @ 10 beers.
