Default Demotivators

Instead of thread jacking, I decided to create a "demotivator" thread. These are some of my favorite poster's from a website. Obviously, they are a mockery of those "motivation" posters you often see hanging on the wallsinoffices. I will try to post a new one every day I am on here if I can remember. Here we go:

I HATE those cheesey posters. Teachers have them covering the wall of almost every classroom at my school.

These guys have it right...

I hate the cheezy ones too. But I like these. If I could, I would get a calendar for work. But I doubt the CEO would think it was very cool. here's another:

you should print one off, and stay late at work and wait till everyone leaves... then switch one of the posters they have set up with one of these!
that would be great!

A bit OT, but I always liked the pick-me-up phrase "have a nice day",that is often utteredbya smilingcop after hehands ahefty jaywalking ortrafficticket to a lawbreaker.

The question is: why does the cop say it? I always wonder if the phraseis meant to somehow soothe theoffender'ssavage beast, or is it really meantto solicit an impulsive, enraged verbal response (after which the copmight then "justifiably" administer an appropriate dose ofhis Taser un-defibrillator, ornightstick tranquilizer)?

Sometimes silence is golden, and that's oneoccasion when it's platinum.

I think you hit the nail on the head here Tony. Cops say it for one reason. To make the person mad. In my past experiences, most cops are uneducated jerks on power trips. The woman cops are the WORST about power trips.

Falkore, here's one you and spaz should like:

I would not have dared say that, but since you have apparently gotten away with it unscathed, I'llchime in to say that Iagree with you 110%.I've never had any personal run-ins with the boys and girls in blue, but I've know people who have, and I've also personallyknown a couple ofcops (one RCMP)and people I went to school withwho laterbecame cops.

There isapparently anongoing, concerted effort by the powers that be, and their lap-dogmedia, to portray the people who take up that profession as automaticheros, or at least a cut above the average Jack or Jill. People who don't believe this way are almost always portrayed as either outrightvillains or eccentric oddities.

The all-to-obvious realityis almost always the opposite of this fanciful, comfortingmyth.

We appreciate that Jon. I've seen that poster before and I have worked with a few people that it fits very well. Considering that I take a shower at 1:30 in the afternoon, I'd say that I'm smelling better than most people ..... guys anyway.
