ive seen a lot of those things and some examples are like slick 50
i was just curious to know if they actually have an effect on your car's performance

If you mean performance like adding horsepower or something....no, not really. If you have a little valve tick or something it might help. I wouldn't count on noticing anything. It is cheap, just buy a bottle and try it.
I think Slick 50 is an oil additive, I have heard things about Teflon in it or something causing engine problems. But that is just hearsay.

They are designed to help clean up your fuel injectors and keep the spray evenly flowing into the motor . This gives you a better flow which in turn gets you a better gas milage and that in -itself gives you a slight edge in useful horsepower because the fuel flow is right.
