I think change is good. I really don't care for the direction the country has gone the last 8 years. Had Hilary (or another democrat) gotten the nomination, I would likely be voting democratic.

While McCain may not be the change I would like to see, I am truthfully a bit scared by Obama's lack of experience. One actual year in the us senatep rior to campaigning. I look at it this way: I would like to be Dean of my college, but with one year of experience as faculty, I wouldn't have the slightest clue what to do, and more importantly, how to do it. I don't know how the game is played on that level. Those are my thoughts on Obama.

Its like any election. Choose the candidate you feel will hurt the country the least. To each his own.

Personally, I think they are both nuts

But, I want to see what the underdog can do, so Obama '08
Dont you think you have the UnderDog reversed here...The Press has McCain as the UnderDog
Nope, in the general scope of the election, yes, as of now, McCain is the underdog. But in the scope of U.S. history, even only back to the early 70's, Obama is definitely the underdog. We're a nation run by WASPs, I'd like to see what a black (at least 50%, lol) can do. If we've gotten through the last 8 years of Bush somewhat okay, even if Obama screws us over, I think we'll survive. Honestly, what real work does the president do besides being the face of the U.S., vetoing bills and declaring war? I think we'll be fine guys.

And Angelo, the Presidential salary is $400k a year, before taxes. I think at this point, Obama would be making more money if he wins.

^^^^?

Im sure if the old man has as much support and or donations as Obama, no one would be complaining.
Good point. He has $500 million to spend that was donated to him. I can't wait for this to end. This has been one long crazy campaign.

I'm really curious to see how that Dole vs Hagen election will turn out too. That was one crazy attack ad Dole had going. Out here in California we have some props that are interesting like constitutional amendment banning gay marriage or more animal rights. Good stuff. Anybody having election parties?

Had a good run, I just hope the wealthy view it worthwhile to pay 12% more in taxes so the poor can save $500 a year on taxes.

I stated my views earlier on the war, and that is what I am most worried about, the future of the Iraqi people and the stability of the Middle East.

The Iraqi people have a democratic government. Maybe not the best but its better than 7 years ago.
