Default Excuses to drive

Do any of you like to drive your car so much that you look for an excuse to take it for a spin? For me it's when I just got my car washed, any new mods, new music or if i'm just bored

I don't know if I need an excuse- I find that I'm just frequently on the road. That said, whenever I travel out of state to visit friends, I rarely fly, and instead drive. Gives me an opportunity to let the Accord stretch its legs.

Talking I Also Like To Drive....

I sometimes find my self just getting in the car to take a short spin to get a ice cream cone about 25 miles up the road..I think the drive makes the Ice Cream taste much better..

I like going for drives on summer nights. Open the moon roof crank the tunes and just drives around for hours. Just casually cruising around

Used to when I had a nice car, my Volvo doesn't exactly do it for me anymore though. Hope to be changing that soon.

Really? I've never driven one of those Volvos, but I expected them to be nice...

Yeah I mean its a nice daily, 250hp and decent handling. But at the end of the day its a Volvo and mine is an automatic(kicking myself for getting the auto to this day even though I was living in the city when I bought it).

Looking to keep it as a daily and pick up a E46 M3 as a nice weekend car.

Automatic anything vs. M3 = no contest!

Guy at work had an M3 but it was a 4-door automatic. Don't remember what year, but I didn't know they made em auto.

They only made 4 doors for 2 years I believe, 97-98 I believe but don't quote me on that, I'm far from a BMW expert.

They still make um auto, they are called SMGs in the years I'm looking for, flappy paddle. I'm finding it hard to find one that isnt auto or a convertible.

If I'm not mistaken, SMG = sequential manual gearbox. Not your normal automatic with manual-shift paddles.

That would be about the right time-frame for his car. I don't know the generation terminology for BMW. I used to lust after them but then they got way too pricey. I used to have a 2002tii which was a fun little car.
