Fair purchase price for 2011 EXL V6 Coupe?

Smile Fair purchase price for 2011 EXL V6 Coupe?

Hi everyone! I am new to the Honda Accord forum. Currently I am in the market for a 2010 or 2011 Accord EX-L V6 coupe. I have had the following best offers from dealerships in the Chicagoland area:

2010 model: $24,620 + destination fee of $750, but minus $600 in incentives with 1.9% apr for 60 months

2011 model: $26,700 coming in at $459/mo for 60 months. I think I may be able to get them down to $26,000 even.

I have never purchased a brand new car before, so any advice as far as fairness of price or which model year to go with would be greatly appreciated!

I would go in there with my check book in hand , made out to the dealership for $ 26,000 tax title and free oil changes for the next 2 years in writing..The dealers need to sell cars and will sometimes do things like this..Mine did.

Default actual price 2011 EX-L V6 Sedan, no nav.

I used an internet-quoted price through Edmunds
In NJ Area, got price for just over $24k and took it. With tax and title, complete price was about 27k.

Well, you all are doing better than I did.

I got mine last month for $27.2k, and thought I did OK on that. Bought mine in Eastern Iowa, not a lot of competition between dealers out here, and had to dirve 90miles to find this one. But I was pretty set on a blue EX-L coupe w/o nav, and there were only 2 within 150 miles.

I just picked up an EX-L I4 for base price of 23200 in Ohio.

Best approach I would recommend is, waiting till the last day of the month, call 2-3 dealers and say your ready to buy... this is what i want... give me the best base price of the car and the monthly payment.

Compare your results and bargain with the dealership you want to deal with.

Car dealerships are hungry and they wont lose a sale to the closest competitor.

End of the month is the best time because that last sale even though they may not make initial profit off of you is one more sale for that month.

Just an idea.

I bought a 2011 EX-L V-6 Coupe for 26,600. My wife's 2011 EX-L V-6 Sedan was 26,500.

Just picked up 2011 with nav, v-6, 6 speed MT for $28,600.

I have a very large Honda dealership near my house. Usually the lot is full with 20 silver Accords, 20 White ones, 20 blue ones, etc.... Recently the lot is relatively empty. I hear it is because the tsunami in Japan has put a halt to many of the parts for all Japanese cars. Even though Hondas and Toyotas are assembled in the US, many of the parts come from the part of the world. We hear this may happen but it is very evident to me that there is a problem.

With the above in mind, I just can't see getting any kind of spectacular dael since the lots are holding very low inventory. It never was easy getting any major savings at a Honda dealer to begin with.

I wonder how many Honda lots around the country are experiencing the same emptiness.
