hopefully there are some computer savvy people on here that can help me

i use mozilla firefox, it updated it self like it normally does, and now it doesnt work anymore, i tried uninstalling it from the add/remove programs menu and deleting the whole folder and reinstalling it and it still doesnt work.

it gives the server not found error, but internet explorer still works

can someone help me?

yeah tried that too, tried all of them and it still didnt work

What,if any firewall do you have? Make sure it is allowed to receive the connection. Every time IE or Mozilla FireFox is updated, a firewall detects it as a new progam so it may be blocking it.

thats probably the problem, and luckly my firewall(etrust) is expired and wont let me edit it or delete it...................how cool.

or dont use a firewall at all. most new routers now have a built in firewall into the firmware. using two firewalls often results in lack of connectivity due to competing resources. if you arent using a router, then use a firewall.

yea.
and make sure windows firewall is disabled.
I usually disable the service and the "security center" service.
and yea, if you have a router, dont use a firewall.
They cause way more problems than they cure.
