Hey guys

Quick question. A dealer is trying to sell me a 0 miles honda civic 2011. Everything looked fine but then I noticed the exhaust making a clicking and puffing noise. It goes away during an engine rev, but comes back on idle. I test driven 2 other 2011 civics, one the day before and one after, but didn't realize any clicking noise. Is this normal on civics? He tells me its normal, but I just don't know. I called service departments at 2 other dealers and they both said, it just depends, and they need to see the car.

So has anyone bought a brand new 2011 civic notice any repeated clicking and puffing noise coming from the exhaust?

Both kids have 2007 Civics (R18 manual trans) and I don't notice that kind of noise. I'll have to pay attention next time I get a chance.

 

Our 2007 Civics don't do that. Exhaust sounds normal to me.
