Hopefully this is not too off topic... I find that loyal Honda car/truck owners have a preference forotherHonda power products. When we're not playing with our toys, some of usgotta do mundane stuff likeblow snow or cut grass... ha ha!
I've seen seen great reviews on Honda lawn mowers on the Internet but I came across a posting that said their engines were easily damaged by a blade strike. Something aboutHonda using a steel shear pin instead of one made from aluminum. I was considering trading up from my John Deere, but his posting is giving me second thoughts...
Any opinions/suggestions out there? I'd like to hear from you. Again,my apologies for being off topic...

We have a honda snowblower. Its a tiny little OHV 6 hp thing. The only problem we've ever had is the cable for the choke got pulled out of its socket, which was a real pain because it never started in the winter, because the choke couldnt never close all the way. about 4 hours and a few drops of gorilla glue later, problem was fixed. other than that, its pretty powerful for 6 hp. The only time it struggles is in >1ft of snow, or lots of ice chunks.
Dunno how this helps on the lawn mower front, but its OK on the snowblower front.

my dad owns a landscaping business and all he uses is the commercial honda mowers...the newest models are great...ive used them several times and we havent had a problem with it so far...the older models are great too but you'll get a couple of easy to fix issues...so get a newer model...and damn these mowers are quick...i think they're double blade so the cut is perfect
