I love ticket stories. Keep em coming! My younger sister wants to be a police officer at the moment, going to Seattle University for criminal justice, so hopefully in a few years I will proudly carry one of those magic "get out of a ticket" family cards in my wallet

we got lots of speed cameras here in the UK, and I hate them all!

6 years ago, I was driving this road and saw that there is a speed camera on the opposite site of the road for the other side of the road (so I thought) so I said to my missus, look at that stupid camera and I am gonna go over the limit now! thinking that, that camera won't catch me as it is facing me!

As soon as I was passing, the camera flashed twice

How did it read my speed in the opposite direction, I wouldn't know

But hey, in 24 years of driving, one speeding ticket aint that bad!

 

Almost all the speed cameras in my area are a joke. They have signs saying speed is monitored by camera on the amazingly straight and smooth roads to and near the airport that are great for some fast driving, but in the entire time I've driven near there I've never seen a speed camera or gotten a speeding ticket. And trust me, if there were cameras there I would have a few more speeding tickets to tell you all about
